Gift Card (SCRIP) Program
Hosting a Mardi Gras party? or a Super Bowl party? Why not help raise money for St. Mary’s by ordering gift cards through school for those party needs. They’re not just for gifts. If your party planning looked like the following, you’d earn $6.25 for our school. *The number in parenthesis is the rebate percentage SMS earns from that purchase.
| * | A $50 Subway card (3% rebate) for a giant sub sandwich or variety sandwich platter—$50 x 3% rebate = $1.50 profit. |
| * | A $25 Michael’s card (4% rebate) for party decorations--$25 x 4% rebate = $1.00 profit |
| * | A $25 Albertson’s card (4% rebate) for chips, dip, drinks, and of course dessert--$25 x 4% rebate = $1.00 profit. |
| * | A $50 Exxon/Mobil card (2.5% rebate) for gas for your shopping trip--$50 x 2.5% rebate = $1.25 profit |
| * | A $25 Walgreens card (6% rebate) for the day after for aspirin and antacid--$25 x 6% rebate = $1.50 profit. |
The profit seems small, but every little bit counts. We earned over $960 in 2009, that’s just for 3 months activity, so let’s see what we can do in 2010!
Reminder…orders are collected weekly on Thursdays by noon. Place money and orders in the drop off slot in the entryway of school or send in via your child’s folder in an envelope marked “Gift Cards”. (Please make checks payable to St. Mary’s Home and School and put “gift cards” in the memo line.)
