Strings Program
Grades K-8
Orchestral Instrument String Family Instruction. The instructor David Cason provides orchestral music and learning of the instrumental string family. Students perform at a Spring Concert and various events throughout the year.
Weekly Mass Choir
Grades 5-6
- We are currently looking for 5th & 6th graders to sing in our Children’s Choir every Wednesday during the school year.
- We are asking for a commitment of one semester, and then we will reevaluate at the beginning of the year to see who still wants to continue to participate in this ministry.
- Ideally we would like students who are musically inclined, but any and all are welcome to share their God given talents.
- Practice starts promptly at 8:00 am on Wednesdays. Students would need to be dropped off at school by 7:45 am (unless they ride the bus) so that they have plenty of time to drop off their belongings and prepare/practice for Mass.
- We will be taking the first 16 students on a first come first serve basis.
- Our Children’s Choir will officially start next Wednesday, August 21st. If your child is ready to commit to serve our Lord in this capacity, then please send an email to Stephanie Foley at sfoley@stmarys-sch.org.
- Parents of students who have committed to Mass will be added to GroupMe for communication so we can share music for the upcoming week, practice changes, etc.
