Daily Morning Offering
Heavenly Father, I praise You and thank You for Your great love, and I lift up this day for Your blessings. With Your help, I will live today as a responsible, generous and honest person. Like Jesus, I will try today to treat everyone I meet with dignity and respect. With Your spirit alive in me, I will witness Your love by thinking of others first and myself last. Help me today Father, to put into action what I have said in words. I ask this in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Lunchtime Grace
Bless us, O Lord, and these, Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty. Through Christ, our Lord. Amen.
Community Prayer Intentions
Loving Father, Thank you for all who are part of our school. Please grant them your encouragement, wisdom and peace. May many find faith discovering their identity in You and knowing Your amazing grace in their lives. Let us learn to love our neighbors more deeply, so we can all celebrate and partake in the blessings at St. Mary’s Catholic School. Please pour out Your blessings upon our whole school community, and specifically hear the following prayer intentions:
- That in union with all the saints, the Church on earth may be a faithful bride and servant of her Lord Jesus Christ.
- Lord Jesus, send your Holy Spirit upon our preparations this Advent season to celebrate your birth at Christmas.
- Help us increase our attentiveness to what truly matters during this time of year, without being distracted by trivial or materialistic things.
- We pray for the grace to be able to rest, become aware of God’s presence, and enjoy it.
- We pray for You to lead us to peace in all situations, no matter what the circumstances.
- We pray for joy and a sense of humor.
- We pray for a genuine awareness of God’s grace in our lives and the humility to extend grace to others.
- For the prayer intentions held privately and silently in the hearts of our students, teachers, staff, and families.
If you would like the St. Mary’s Community to pray for you, please submit your prayer intentions here.
Monthly Rosary
- Make the Sign of the Cross.
- Holding the Crucifix, say the Apostles’ Creed.
- On the first bead, say an Our Father.
- Say one Hail Mary on each of the next three beads.
- Say the Glory Be.
- For each of the five decades, announce the Mystery (perhaps followed by a brief reading from Scripture) then say the Our Father.
- While holding each of the ten beads of the decade, next say ten Hail Mary’s while meditating on the Mystery. Then say a Glory Be.
(After finishing each decade, some say the following prayer requested by the Blessed Virgin Mary at Fatima: O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of hell; lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who have most need of your mercy.) - After saying the five decades, say the Hail, Holy Queen, followed by this dialogue and prayer:
V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray: O God, whose Only Begotten Son, by his life, Death, and Resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal life, grant, we beseech thee, that while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through the same Christ our Lord. Amen. - Conclude the Rosary with the Sign of the Cross.
